Overview

The [Overview] or [All Notes] screen shows all your notes in one place. This is where you go to access, organize, and manage your meeting history. What you’ll see:
  • All your recorded meetings in chronological order
  • Recent notes at the top for quick access
  • Preview with title, date, who was there, and tags
  • Lots of ways to filter and search

Filtering options

Use the sidebar to quickly filter and find specific notes: Companies: Filter notes by participant’s company or organization
  • Automatically grouped by email domains
  • Great for client meetings or vendor discussions
Attendees: Filter by individual people
  • Find all meetings with specific colleagues
  • Perfect for one-on-ones or recurring team meetings
Tags: Filter by custom tags you’ve assigned to notes
  • Meeting types (standup, demo, interview)
  • Projects or topics
  • Custom organizational categories

The list view header provides additional filtering controls:

Creator-based filtering

Team plan users: If you’re on a team plan, use the [showing my notes] button to switch between:
  • My notes: Just the notes you created
  • Team notes: All notes created by people on your team
  • All workspace notes: Everything you can access in your current workspace

Date-based filtering

Filter notes by creation date:
  • Recent 7 days: Last week’s meetings
  • Recent 14 days: Past two weeks
  • Recent 30 days: Last month’s notes
  • Custom range: Specify exact date ranges for targeted searches

Search functionality

Keyword search: Find notes by searching titles
  • Type keywords to find notes with matching titles
  • Search happens in real-time as you type
  • Doesn’t matter if you use capital letters or not

Transcript downloads

Download multiple transcripts: Get several meeting transcripts at once.

How to download

  1. Go to your notes list
  2. Click the download icon in the top-right corner
  3. Pick the notes you want
  4. Choose your format
  5. Download as a ZIP file
Supported formats:
  • CSV: Structured data format for spreadsheet analysis
  • Markdown (.md): Formatted text files for documentation
  • Plain text (.txt): Simple text format for basic viewing

Note deletion

How to delete notes

  1. Hover your mouse over any note item in the list
  2. Right-click to open the context menu
  3. Select [Delete] from the menu options
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted
Important: Once you delete notes, they’re gone forever. We can’t refund credits you used for transcription and processing.

What gets deleted

When you delete a note, the following are permanently removed:
  • Original audio recording
  • Complete transcript
  • AI summaries and analysis
  • Custom tags and annotations
  • All sharing permissions and links

Organization tips

Best practices for note management:
  • Use consistent naming conventions for easy searching
  • Apply tags immediately after meetings while context is fresh
  • Regularly archive or delete outdated notes to keep your dashboard clean
  • Use company and attendee filters to prepare for follow-up meetings

FAQs

Caret supports three formats for transcript downloads:
  • CSV: Comma-separated values format, ideal for spreadsheet analysis and data processing
  • Markdown (.md): Formatted text files that preserve structure and are great for documentation
  • Plain text (.txt): Simple text format for basic viewing and sharing
All formats maintain speaker identification and timestamps when available.
No, deleted notes cannot be recovered. This is a permanent action that removes: - Audio recordings - Transcripts - AI summaries - Tags and annotations - Sharing permissions Additionally, any credits used for transcription and processing are not refunded when notes are deleted.
Team plan features: - My notes: Notes you personally created (always visible to you) - Team notes: Notes created by other team members (visible based on sharing permissions) - Workspace access: All notes within your current workspace that you have permission to view Individual note permissions may vary based on how they were shared with you.
The search function in the notes list searches note titles only. For content search: Open individual notes and use the search function within the transcript view to find specific words or phrases within the conversation content.
If you’re the note creator: Deleting a note removes it for everyone who had access, including team members and external shares.If you’re not the creator: You can only remove the note from your view - the original note remains intact for the creator and other authorized users.
