Get Started in 3 Steps

Download and install Caret

Download for Mac

Caret is currently available for macOS 12.0 (Monterey) or later.

After downloading, drag the Caret app to your Applications folder.

Set up your workspace

  1. Launch Caret and create an account or sign in
  2. Create your workspace or join an existing one
  3. Grant necessary permissions for screen recording and microphone access

Caret requires screen recording and microphone permissions to capture your meetings. These permissions are only used during active recording sessions.

Record your first meeting

  1. Join your meeting in any application (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  2. Click on the Caret icon in your menu bar
  3. Select “Start Recording”
  4. Caret will begin transcribing and translating automatically

When your meeting ends, click “Stop Recording” and Caret will finalize your notes.
