Caret integrates with your calendar to automatically detect meetings, provide pre-meeting briefings, and link recordings directly to your events.

Setup

Caret supports both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations in the Caret app.
  2. Click Connect next to Google Calendar.
  3. Sign in and grant the requested permissions.

Features

Auto-Detect Meetings

Caret scans your calendar for meetings with video links (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams). These appear in your sidebar, allowing you to join and record with a single click.

Pre-Meeting Briefings

Caret generates a “Pre-reading” document for detected meetings, including:
  • Participant Info: Roles and profiles of the attendees.
  • Past Context: Summaries of previous interactions with the same participants.
  • Shared Knowledge: Relevant context pulled from your workspace.

Meeting Reminders

Get desktop notifications before meetings begin. Configure these in Settings > Notifications (e.g., 1, 5, or 10 minutes before start).

Linked Recordings

Once a meeting ends, Caret can add a link to the recording and summary directly into the original calendar event description.
