# Calendar

> Connect your Google or Outlook calendar to automate meeting detection and preparation.

Caret integrates with your calendar to automatically detect meetings, provide pre-meeting briefings, and link recordings directly to your events.

## Setup

Caret supports both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.

## Features

### Auto-Detect Meetings

Caret scans your calendar for meetings with video links (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams). These appear in your sidebar, allowing you to join and record with a single click.

### Pre-Meeting Briefings

Caret generates a "Pre-reading" document for detected meetings, including:

* **Participant Info**: Roles and profiles of the attendees.
* **Past Context**: Summaries of previous interactions with the same participants.
* **Shared Knowledge**: Relevant context pulled from your workspace.

### Meeting Reminders

Get desktop notifications before meetings begin. Configure these in **Settings > Notifications** (e.g., 1, 5, or 10 minutes before start).

### Linked Recordings

Once a meeting ends, Caret can add a link to the recording and summary directly into the original calendar event description.
